Head Instructor and owner  Scott has run his very successful, Bullett Proof Baseball Academy, for over ten years here in Welland. Scott has over two hundred players from ages 8-18 come all winter to learn from the pro and his hand picked assistants. Scott also makes the rounds to the lcoal schools in the Niagara Region to promote " Stay cool, stay in school" and to give the kids a brief lesson on the basics of the game.

Academy Instructors
Mike Simpson has been with Bullett Proof Baseball for 5 years and teaches pitching and infield. Mike has been involved with baseball in Welland for twenty years where he has served as president and vice president of Welland Minor Baseball as well as been heavily involved with Elite level baseball for the last ten years. Mike also serves as bench coach for the 18u Showcase team, Bullett Proof Prospects. He also looks after the web site for the organization.
Ron Zimmerman - Ron has been coaching for the last last 35 years and most recently as the assistant coach for the Brock University Badgers.
He is also the Assistant coach for the Governor Simcoe Redcoats in the Niagara District High School League of which he is one of the founders.
Ron's Married to his wife Lorna for 32 years and has 2 sons (Matt and Drew).
Ron is looking forward to contributing in a positive manor to the improvement of players in our organization.
Matt Zimmerman started in the St.Catharines Minor baseball All-star program where he played until the Junior Level. Matt also played middle infield at the Doyle Baseball Academy in Orlando, Florida.
A knee injury ended his playing career sooner then expected and so began the transition from player to coach. Matt started at the High school level as an assistant coach with the Governor Simcoe Redcoats and held that role for six years. During the last two years Matt has served as the head coach compiling a 15-2 record with two zone championship appearances and one SOSSA tournament appearance. He also is the 1st base coach with Brock University and has been involved with this program for 7 years either as a coach or evaluator.
Matt’s coaching strengths are with the infielders and hitters. He also likes to help out pitchers if needed.
A recent newlywed, Matt and his wife Amanda reside in Niagara Falls.
Dave Davidson has been involved at Bullett proof Baseball for 4 years where he teaches pitching during his off season of pro baseball. Dave played his minor baseball in Thorold where he was chosen to play for Team Ontario and Team Canada. Dave was drafted in the 11th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates and is on their 40 man roster. Dave has climbed the ladder in the Pirates organization and last year was a September callup to the Major League team. Currently playing for Altoona at double A, Dave spends his off season time at Academy where he teaches the kids the pro way of playing baseball.
Colin Buckborough has been with Bullett Proof Baseball as an instructor for the past year where he helps with the pitching and with YMCA Drop In program. Colin, a Niagara Falls resident attended the Academy as a student for 5 year, he went on to play for Team Ontario and Team Canada. He was chosen by the Seattle Mariners in the 16th round last year and currently is playing with their short season single A team.
